envisioning the future of csr event recap
Last Thursday we had the pleasure of kicking off the inaugural Perspectives event, which was co-hosted with Triple Pundit at the Impact Hub in San Francisco. The event was our first in a series of four that will be held quarterly in the bay Area throughout the year. We were excited to see lots of familiar faces (as well as some friendly new ones) in the crowd of 40+ attendees.
Themed Imagining the future of CSR, the event gathered sustainability practitioners to discuss the future of corporate responsibility – envisioning a CSR Utopia. We structured the conversation to focus on the possibilities of CSR (rather than getting bogged down in the limitations). We examined what each of us could do to inspire one another, shape our collective vision, and accelerate progress towards a brighter, more sustainable future.
It was an an engaging and quite spirited conversation, with a host of varying perspectives on the subject. Here are a few of the comments and thoughts that were shared by the audience during the event using our hashtag: #CSRperspectives
Thanks to Triple Pundit, the Impact Hub, our panelists, and (most of all) the audience for participating in the dialog. Join us at our next Perspective event May 3rd, where we will discuss purposeful innovation and using sustainability as an engine for growth, innovation, and long-term value creation.
It’s sure to be another spirited discussion. We hope to see you there!
